Twitch and the Witch

Hello and welcome, dear wanderer of the whimsicowl!

I’m Christine Bull - author, creator, and word witch behind Twitch and the Witch and the magical Owlmanac series.
I’ve always been a storyteller. As a child, I’d stop to smell the roses (literally), and listen for fairies in the hedgerows. That sense of wonder has only grown stronger.

I am a musician and play in The Bristol String Quartet as well as other freelance performances, I also teach piano. In my spare time I talk to trees, and follow the rhythm of the seasons. This path has taken me through reiki, sound healing, shamanic work, and now - into the enchanted realm of books, owls, and handmade magic.

These days, every chance I get, I write whimsicowl stories and zines filled with gentle wisdom, felted illustrations, and a sprinkle of mischief. My goal? To help others reconnect with nature, remember their own magic, and feel joy in the little things.
